Aural Stylesheets
Aural Style Sheets verwenden eine Kombination aus Sprachsynthese und Soundeffekten, um den Benutzer dazu zu bringen, Informationen zu hören, anstatt Informationen zu lesen.
Aural Präsentation kann verwendet werden:
- von Blinden
- Benutzern beim Lesenlernen zu helfen
- um Benutzern mit Leseproblemen zu helfen
- für Home-Entertainment
- im Auto
- von lesebehinderten Gemeinschaften
Die akustische Präsentation wandelt das Dokument in reinen Text um und leitet diesen an einen Bildschirmleser weiter (ein Programm, das alle Zeichen auf dem Bildschirm liest).
Ein Beispiel für ein Aural-Stylesheet:

Das obige Beispiel lässt den Sprachsynthesizer einen Ton abspielen und dann die Überschriften mit einer sehr satten männlichen Stimme sprechen.
CSS Hörreferenz
Die Spalte „CSS“ gibt an, in welcher CSS-Version die Eigenschaft definiert ist (CSS1 oder CSS2).
