Das XML-Dokumentobjekt
Das Document-Objekt ist die Wurzel eines XML-Dokumentbaums und gibt uns den primären Zugriff auf die Daten des Dokuments.
Da Elementknoten, Textknoten, Kommentare, Verarbeitungshinweise usw. außerhalb des Dokuments nicht existieren können, enthält das Document-Objekt auch Methoden, um diese Objekte zu erstellen. Die Node-Objekte haben eine Eigenschaft ownerDocument, die sie dem Dokument zuordnet, in dem sie erstellt wurden.

DocumentType-Objekteigenschaften
Jedes Dokument hat ein DOCTYPE-Attribut, dessen Wert entweder null oder ein DocumentType-Objekt ist.
Das DocumentType-Objekt stellt eine Schnittstelle zu den für ein XML-Dokument definierten Entitäten bereit.

Eine Verarbeitungsanweisung wird verwendet, um prozessorspezifische Informationen im Text des XML-Dokuments zu halten.
