Das folgende Codefragment lädt „ books_comment.xml “ in xmlDoc und ersetzt „Simple“ durch „Easy“ im Kommentarknoten des ersten <book>-Elements:

Im obigen Beispiel verwenden wir eine Schleife und einen if-Test, um sicherzustellen, dass wir nur Kommentarknoten verarbeiten. Ein Kommentarknoten hat den Knotentyp 8.
Definition und Verwendung
Die Methode replaceData() ersetzt Daten in einem Kommentarknoten.

commentNode.replaceData(start,length,string)
